Hi, I'm Alessandro

I'm a finance professional and economist based in the United Kingdom, currently pursuing an MSc in Finance (Economics and Finance) at Durham University — awarded the Masters Achievement Scholarship for outstanding academic performance.

I hold a 1st Class Honours degree in Financial and Business Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London (80%), where I received the First Year Economics Prize for finishing top of my cohort.

My professional background spans financial reporting, management accounting, and investment analysis. At Quintessentially, I managed multi-hub financial reporting across global offices, led internal audit workstreams, and built cost recovery models. Previously, I gained early exposure to investment banking at Zeus Capital, where I developed and presented an equity buy recommendation to senior management.

I enjoy applying quantitative tools — Python, R, SQL, and Excel — to financial problems, from econometric modelling to management reporting and financial analysis.

Outside of work and study, I enjoy gym, church, aviation, travel, football, chess, watches, and cuisine. I speak French (B2) and Italian conversationally alongside my native English.
